TAPATHON SUCCESS!

On Sunday 13th Dec at 11am we joined hundreds of dancers across the country to take part in this years " Tapathon" for The Roy Castle Lung Foundation.

As many of you know Roy Castle, an incredible Tap dancer and entertainer sadly passed away due to Lung Cancer. It was believed that this had been bought on by playing musical instruments and singing in smokey pubs and clubs during the 60s and 70s.

Tapathon has run for many many years and to be honest this time of year is always so busy with all of our christmas shows its something that has slipped through the net. It is certainly something we will be adding to the extensive Steppin Out Calender in years to come. We had a brilliant time!

Our amazing Tap teacher Emily Miles delivered the classes with expert procision and most importantly the children had such fun learning a Tap routine to a well known xmas song.

Several dances were taugt depending on the age and ability of the children.

The most fantastic achievement about this isnt just the fact that each child will receive a medal! As a school we raised £78 to go straight to the foundation which we are all incredbly proud of!
