Future dance teachers programme
Love dance and want to inspire the next generation? At Steppin Out, we don't just develop great performers; we develop future dance assistants and teachers too. Our Future Dance Teachers Programme is designed for dancers who want to build confidence, develop leadership skills, and gain practical teaching experience. Since launching in 2025, we've had over 30 students take part in the programme, with participants enjoying the opportunity to learn new skills, support younger dancers, and grow in confidence.
Throughout the programme, students will learn how to assist in classes, support younger dancers, understand anatomy and lesson planning, and develop the skills needed to become effective leaders within a dance setting. It's a fantastic way to gain valuable experience, take on more responsibility, and explore a future pathway in dance teaching.
Please note: Participants must also attend Steppin Out dance classes to take part in the programme. Participants will be given a class each week that they will assist in.

Payments must be paid up front in full, or in by the monthly payments according to the course being done. If anyone cancels or doesn't attend a training session, then the training session will cost £50-£100 to re do. As the course progresses the fees are higher. The course fees are non- refundable.

The course fee includes all training materials, a t-shirt, a trophy, a badge, a certificate, CPD points, a fully qualified teacher and suitable rooms.

A confident first step into teaching
Our Dance Teachers Programme sessions give young performers a chance to look beyond the stage and start understanding what great teaching really involves. Steppin Out Stars of Tomorrow focuses on building confidence, responsibility and communication so you can develop skills that matter in class and in everyday life. In Wokingham, Woodley and nearby Reading, many parents want activities that do more than fill an afternoon, and this programme adds purpose to a dancer's progress. Our teachers bring years of musical theatre experience to each session, helping students learn in a friendly setting that feels encouraging, not daunting. You might have a child who already loves helping younger dancers or one who wants to grow in confidence before taking on more responsibility. We use the Future Dance Teachers Programme to turn that enthusiasm into practical learning and a clearer sense of what teaching involves.

What the programme is designed to develop
Our approach goes beyond learning routines, because teaching calls for patience, observation and the ability to explain movement clearly. Alongside learning leadership and instructional skills, participants can refine their own performance technique through our high-energy street dance classes. Steppin Out Stars of Tomorrow helps students understand how classes are structured, how encouragement can shape progress, and how leadership starts with setting a good example. Wokingham, Woodley and nearby Reading families often look for activities that help children mature as well as perform, and this training supports both. We keep the atmosphere positive, so students can ask questions, build trust and grow into the role at a steady pace. Booking is handled through our third-party platform, which makes it simple to secure a place when you're set to proceed.
