Love dance and want to inspire the next generation? At Steppin Out, we don't just develop great performers  – we develop future dance assistants and teachers too.

Our Future Dance Teachers Programme is designed for dancers who want to build confidence, develop leadership skills, and gain practical teaching experience. Since launching in 2025, we've had over 30 students take part in the programme, with participants enjoying the opportunity to learn new skills, support younger dancers, and grow in confidence.

Throughout the programme, students will learn how to assist in classes, support younger dancers, understand anatomy, lesson planning, and develop the skills needed to become effective leaders within a dance setting. It's a fantastic way to gain valuable experience, take on more responsibility, and explore a future pathway in dance teaching.

Please note: Participants must also attend Steppin Out dance classes to take part in the programme.  Participants will be given a class each week that they will assist in. 

Course Levels

Intro to Assisting (24 CPDs)
Minimum age: 11+
£250 + VAT (£300) or 10 monthly payments of £30.00

Confidence & Connection (24 CPDs)
Minimum age: 11+
£260 + VAT (£312) or 10 monthly payments of £31.20

Learning to Lead (30 CPDs)
Minimum age: 14+
£275 + VAT (£329) or 10 monthly payments of £32.90

All Age Teaching (35 CPDs)
Minimum age: 14+
£300 + VAT (£360) or 10 monthly payments of £36.00
